I spent 3 months helping clear out an elderly family members house so it could be put on the market to help pay for her ongoing memory care.
During all of this the most important thing I was tasked to do was to find "Gordy". Gordon had passed away about 30 years prior.
I searched and searched but could not find him.
Finally deciding 65 years of stuff was too much to handle on my own I hired an estate sale company and 2 days in to the sale they finally found him buried in the back of a closet.
Luckily he was not in a fancy urn so no one tried to buy him lol
I was afraid you were going to say that you had been using Bob in your smoothies for days without realizing! Whew! That was funny, but I’m also sorry for your loss.
Thanks Cathleen! It was initially very upsetting, and then it became hilarious! It’s just the kind of prank Bob would pull!
I was sure you were going to say you had put him in your smoothies!
Almost!
This sounds familiar.

At least you didn’t sell him!

Thankfully not, but it was close!
Great story! Hope your foot is getting better! ❤️🩹
Thanks, Peggy.
That’s hilarious at the end! I was afraid he was going in your smoothie. Glad you figured it out before that happened. 🤣
I came close!
Wonderful story, Gail! I am truly laughing out loud!
That was my purpose in writing it!
THAT was both poignant and hilarious in the same writing! Way to go, Gail!
We carry Alia with us too- but I placed her ashes in an old 35mm film canister to make sure I knew where they were.
Beautiful writing as usual!
Smart idea!
